V-LINK192 (DISCONTINUED) - Overview
The V-LINK 192 builds on the success of the original V-LINK and its step-up V-LINK II sibling to offer flawless transfer of musical data from your computer, including support for ultra-high resolution 24bit/192kHz audio files.
A standard USB connection from your computer performs inconsistently; you can’t guarantee what data rate you’re going to receive - a poor start for your digital music experience.
The V-LINK 192 - a 24bit 192kHz asynchronous USB to S/PDIF converter – offers perfect performance from USB, ensuring a consistently high-quality data feed is provided for your hi-fi system. It has both coaxial and optical outputs, allowing its digital precision to easily partner with DACs and CD players with these standard inputs. That means you’re not just getting better performance, you’re protecting your investment in your existing system.
The V-LINK products – along with their V-Series siblings - provide exceptional performance and build quality at an affordable price.
V-LINK192 (DISCONTINUED) - Design and Build
The V-LINK 192 and the junior V-LINK II are exclusive Musical Fidelity developments, dedicated to perfect data transfer for improved digital music performance.
There are other conversion products available with similar functionality, but decent examples cost serious money, and none can match our unique engineering.
We designed the V-LINK family of USB to S/PDIF converters from the ground up, optimising them for rock-solid consistency regardless of the computer or operating system involved.
A low-jitter power supply feeds an ultra-high-precision clock, which is sited close to the V-LINK 192’s key components, ensuring the shortest, most accurate signal path possible.
The V-LINK 192 uses a select I2 Bus to S/PDIF converter for further jitter-eliminating precision, while our unique asynchronous digital control-system software perfects things further still.
When the musical data leaves the V-LINK 192 via its galvanically isolated optical or coaxial output, any digital noise that could have originated from your computer has been entirely eliminated.
The V-LINK 192 has input-frequency LEDs that indicate the following frequencies: 44.1kHz (CD frequency); 48kHz; 88.2kHz; 96kHz; 176.4kHz and 192kHz. You know that when its multi-coloured LED array is shining red, you’re enjoying a perfect 24bit/192kHz signal.
If your music library contains no ultra-high-resolution files – maybe you’re just sticking to rips of your CD collection, with the odd 24bit/96kHz download - you could opt for the V-LINK II, which supports frequencies up to 96kHz.
But with the choice of high-quality downloads growing every day, the V-LINK 192 provides you with an extra level of future-proof performance.
